Gila System Hydraulics

HPF analyzed a water pipeline network with multiple points where water flows in and out. Using mapped data files (KMZ) provided by the producer, we built a computer simulation in ProMax software to model water flow and complete the facility’s engineering and design. Our work included:

  • Designing and simulating how the system operates
  • Recommending the best locations for pumps to improve flow
  • Designing the vertical piping (riser) and electrical setup for the pumps

Block 31 Plant Water System

HPF designed a new cooling tower, water circulation pumps, boiler, and above-ground piping network to replace outdated equipment and underground lines.
We used 3D scanning to map the existing pipes and equipment areas for accurate design.
Our team selected and approved all necessary equipment for purchase.
We also modeled and tested the performance of the facility’s existing compression system.

Water (8”) and Gas (6”) Pipelines

HPF designed two 20-mile pipelines, which included launchers/receivers for maintenance, vertical pipe sections (risers), automated measuring/transfer systems (LACTs), specialized pumps for steady flow (PD pumps), and a gas separator.

Our team also developed all instrumentation and electrical systems, such as switch panels, pump speed controls (VFDs), and automation systems (PLCs). We completed the full engineering and design of the facility, including:

  • Designing and modeling system processes
  • Creating detailed maps of pipeline routes (alignment sheets)
  • Performing calculations for pipeline pressure testing (hydrotesting)
  • Mechanical and piping design
  • 3D modeling of the facility
  • Electrical system design
  • Specifying instruments and equipment
  • Control engineering and documentation of system responses (cause-and-effect, control narratives)

Tankless Central Processing Facility

HPF completed the full engineering and design of the facility, which included:

  • Designing and simulating how the facility operates
  • Assessing health, safety, and environmental risks (HSE analysis)
  • Designing equipment and piping systems
  • Creating a 3D model of the facility for visualization and accuracy
  • Designing electrical systems
  • Developing instruments and automated controls
  • Designing the foundations, supports, and structural components

Tankless Central Process Facility

HPF helps operators modernize by moving from traditional storage tank sites (tank batteries) to next-generation tankless facilities, designs that eliminate the need for large tanks. Tankless systems offer several advantages:

  • Lower upfront construction and equipment costs
  • Major reductions in air emissions and pollutants
  • Reduced chances of spills, leaks, or other safety risks
  • A smaller, more efficient facility that takes up less space
